On way to deliver 1-kg contraband, woman, nephew arrested in Ludhiana

The suspects were on the way to deliver the narcotics to their clients when a police team stopped and arrested them.
The suspects were identified as Asha and her nephew Akash, both natives of EWS Colony, at present staying in Uttam Nagar Colony, Focal Point, Ludhiana.
Investigating officer ASI Joginder Pal said on November 24, when he, along with a police team, was patrolling near Disposal Chowk, Focal Point, he received a tip-off that Asha, along with her nephew Akash, was doing illegal trade of selling ganja. The police team reached the scene and caught the suspects from Phase 8, Focal Point. During the raid, 1 kg of ganja was recovered from them and a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act was registered.
He further said that past criminal record of the suspects was also being scanned by the police. After obtaining their police remand, the entire drug supply line would be busted.
