One apprehended for robbing Kashmiri vendor

An amount of Rs 6000 was recovered from the main accused identified as Kuldeep Singh of Rurka near Dakha who was arrested by a team of cops led by SHO Jodhan Saheb Meet Singh two days ago.
Though the police are yet to ascertain the identity of other members of the gang, they have booked Sahib Singh of Dhatt village, who had accompanied Kuldeep Singh when they had robbed a Kashmiri vendor Sayad Rafiq of Kachama Karalpura, Kupwara sector, on last Thursday.
Rafiq had informed the Jodhan police that the motorcycle-borne duo had snatched an amount of Rs 15,700 from him when he was travelling on his cycle on the Pamal-Rurka Road after delivering dried fruits at the residence of some of his acquaintances at Pamal village on Thursday.
SSP Dr Ankur Gupta said DSP Dakha Varinder Khosa had constituted a team of cops to identify the miscreants, succeededing in nabbing Kuldeep Singh. An amount of Rs 6,000 was recovered from his possession and it was during investigation that his accomplice Sahib Singh of Dhatt village was identified, who is yet at large.
Kuldeep Singh is already facing at least five criminal cases registered at Dakha, Ludhiana Sadar, Thulliwal and Mehal Kalan.
