More than 2,000 people took part with enthusiasm in ‘R-Elan Ludhiana 10K Run’ to raise awareness on cancer. The event was organised by Ludhiana Runners, a dedicated group of enthusiasts, at the Punjab Agricultural University campus, here on Monday.

R-Elan, a key sponsor of the ‘Run for Cancer Awareness’, is renowned for its next-gen fabrics manufactured using Reliance Industries’ cutting-edge fibre and yarn technologies. The run, in association with R-Elan, aimed to involve the entire city while raising cancer awareness and the participants included young and old, fitness enthusiasts, athletes, housewives and professionals alike. Prizes were awarded to the top three performers in each category.

Ludhiana Runners president Piyush Chopra said, “This year’s run aimed to unite the community in promoting fitness while raising awareness about cancer prevention, early detection and support for those affected.”
