The three-day football tournament organised by the Ahmedgarh Sports and Welfare Club at MGMN Senior Secondary School in memory of club member Sukhwinder Sukhi concluded here today.

The event was dedicated to the Yudh Nashian Virudh campaign led by SSP Gagan Ajit Singh.

Football Club Pallah emerged winners, while the Football Club Dangon was the runners-up.

Jagrup Singh Palla was declared the best player of the tournament.

MLA Jaswant Singh Gajjanmara, Fatehgarh Sahib MP Dr Amar Singh Boparai, DSP Ranjit Singh Bains, DSP Rajan Sharma. Chairman GENCO Navjot Singh Jarag, former MLA Iqbal Singh Jhoondan and president Municipal Council Vikas Krishan Sharma chaired various sessions during the tournament.

As many as 32 teams of boys from various places participated in One Village Open Football tournament.

Advocate Arvind Maavi and convener Shiv Kumar Narad informed that winner and runners-up teams were felicitated with trophies and cash prizes worth Rs 41,000 and Rs 31,000, respectively. These teams had reached the final match by defeating Ghungrali and Banbhaura in the semi-finals respectively.
