Para-athletes from across Punjab, showcased their skills and determination, participating in track and field events besides badminton competition on the third day of the 1st State-Level Para Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan being organised by the Punjab Sports Department with the help of the district administration here on Friday.

In T-11category, Gurvir Singh (Ludhiana) finished ahead of others to win the gold medal. Ranjit Singh and Pardeep Kumar, also from Ludhiana, secured the second and third position, respectively.

In the same category, Gurvir Singh, Jasvir Singh and Ranjit Singh, all from Ludhiana, bagged the top three positions in 400m race while in the shot put event, Jasvir Singh of Ludhiana stood first, followed by Suraj of Ludhiana and Prince of Malerkotla at second and third place, respectively.

In T-12 category, Ludhiana’s Paramveer Singh came out victorious in 100m race while Lakhwinder Singh (Moga) and Sandeep Kumar (Muktsar) finished as first and second runner-up, whereas in 400m race, Paramveer Singh (Ludhiana), Mangal Singh (Moga) and Ranjeet Singh (Ludhiana) grabbed first three positions.
