In a remarkable display of talent and determination, young Parsim Kaur Kanith (9) has displayed exceptional performance in the Sub-Junior Punjab State Swimming Championship organised by the District Swimming Association, Ludhiana.

During this championship held at the PAU swimming pool on July 20 and 21, Parsim, a student of Class IV at the Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar, earned accolades by securing six medals, including five gold medals.

Earlier, Parsim’s accomplishments in the District Swimming Championship last year included three gold medals. She also participated in the CBSE Games at Pathankot, where she won a silver medal in backstroke event and was selected for the CBSE nationals and justified her inclusion by winning a silver medal. In Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan organised by the Punjab Government, Parsim clinched a gold medal in 50m freestyle event and secured three gold medals in the Punjab School Games.

Parsim has been selected to represent the state team in the Sub-Junior National Aquatic Championship slated to be held in Odisha in the first week of August.
