Patiala man nabbed with 304-gm heroin

The suspect was on the way to deliver heroin to his clients when the Khanna police nabbed him.
The suspect was identified as Binder Singh, a resident of Khusropur village in Patiala.
ASI Avtar Singh said a police team was conducting a routine patrolling on the Mohanpur service road when on suspicion, the officials signalled a car driver to stop for checking. When the youth sitting on the driver’s seat was asked to open the window of the car, he put a yellow envelope kept on the seat between his two legs in his left pocket and opened the window. Afterwards, the policemen, caught the suspect and asked his name and address.
The ASI said in the presence of Vinod Kumar, DSP, Khanna sub-division, a formal search was conducted and the yellow envelope was seized from his pocket in which 304 gm of heroin was kept. The police team nabbed the suspect and a case had been registered.
