Mandeep Singh Sran, who completed his MSc in agricultural economics from the Department of Economics and Sociology at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), was conferred the “Young Agricultural Economist Award.” He received the award from PAU Vice-Chancellor Dr Satbir Singh Gosal and other officials, at the 5th International Agri Conference on “Navigating Unique Trends in Agricultural Research, Innovation, Engineering, Nutrition, and Technology (NUTRIENT-2025),” held at Bhai Gurdas Group of Institutions, Sangrur. The award was conferred upon the former PAU student by the conference award screening committee during the award validation programme on February 21. The honour was bestowed after thorough evaluation of his research contributions to the agriculture and livestock sector. The event was organised by the Agri Meet Foundation, in collaboration with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi, and the ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal.
