In a significant achievement, the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU)-trained startup CRASTE has emerged as the winner in the WASH Innovation Challenge, recognised for its ground-breaking work in transforming crop residue into value-added products.

These products, which specifically impact the furniture and packaging industries, underscore CRASTE’s commitment to innovation, sustainability and climate resilience.

The WASH Innovation Challenge, which focused on promoting sustainable solutions to enhance urban climate resilience, attracted many innovative ideas and projects. CRASTE’s unique approach to tackling crop residue waste stood out, getting them the top prize of Rs 15 lakh.
