The rankings, announced by the Ministry of Education at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, also placed the PAU third nationally in the broader category of agriculture and allied sectors, behind only the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, and the National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal.
To celebrate this milestone, the PAU organised a special felicitation ceremony at the Dr Manmohan Singh Auditorium, where faculty, staff and students gathered to honour the collective effort that led to this achievement. Addressing the gathering, Vice-Chancellor Dr Satbir Singh Gosal called the recognition a “victory for the entire PAU family,” emphasising that, while reaching the top was difficult, staying there demanded dedication, innovation and teamwork.
Registrar Rishipal Singh highlighted the global significance of the PAU’s ranking, noting its entry into the top 100 agricultural universities worldwide as per EduRank 2025. Dr Gosal also acknowledged the vital role of non-teaching staff, calling them the backbone of PAU’s operations.
