The Alumni Association of the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), organised a grand annual alumni meet, ‘Moments 2024,’ in which approximately 150 alumni, residing in various corners of India and abroad, participated along with their families.

Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor of the PAU, who was the chief guest, inaugurated the event.

Alumni from the 1999 batch attended the meet in numbers to celebrate their Silver Jubilee.

In his address, Dr Gosal lauded the achievements and contributions of the college alumni, underscoring their pivotal role in shaping the institution’s reputation.

The chief patron of the alumni association and dean of COAET, Dr Manjeet Singh, extended heartfelt congratulations to the alumni for their immense contributions and professional excellence in the field of agricultural engineering within India and abroad.

“Established in 1964, COAET has produced approximately 2,800 agrineers who have excelled as academicians, researchers, administrators, and entrepreneurs across diverse fields,” he said.

Dr Preetinder Kaur, President of the alumni association, shared the activities and initiatives of the past year, especially the alumni support to the students for academic, sports, and extracurricular activities as well as alumni-student technical interactions.

The main feature of the event was the launch of a diamond jubilee baton to mark the start of the Diamond Jubilee Year of the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology.

This baton would travel around the world to get signatures from alumni residing in different places in India and abroad and reach COAET before the diamond jubilee meet next year.
