MLA Manwinder Singh Giaspura expressed his gratitude towards the Punjab Government for its decision to name new gymnasia and stadiums in Payal after the Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh. He assured residents that more installations, including roads and government buildings, would also be rechristened in memory of Sahibzada Baba Ajit Singh and Sahibzada Baba Fateh Singh. He was addressing a gathering of office-bearers of Sikh organisations in the region.

“We are grateful to our Chief Minister, on whose recommendations the authorities in the Sports Department had responded positively to my request to name proposed gyms and stadia in memory of Sahibzada Baba Ajit Singh and Sahibzada Baba Fateh Singh,” said Giaspura, adding that efforts would be made to get some existing establishments rechristened in memory of the Sahibzadas as a token of respect for their sacrifice.
