As part of the ongoing struggle for teachers’ rights in aided colleges, the PCCTU has planned a two-day protest in the next week against the Punjab Government’s lethargic approach.

In a release, PCCTU members said that on September 16, campus rallies would be held in all colleges during the sixth period, focusing on raising awareness among students about the state’s financial crisis and its adverse impact on education.

On September 19, mass casual leave would be observed and members would gather at Ghambirpur village, Anandpur Sahib, for a dharna in front of the Higher Education Minister’s residence at 10.30 am, protesting the minister’s ineffective handling of their issues.
