Investigating officer ASI Sukhdev Singh said on Friday, he, along with a police team, was

present at the bridge canal in Sidhwan Bet for patrolling and checking suspicious persons. In the evening, he received a tip-off that Gurpreet, who used to sell heroin, was coming towards the Sidhwan Bet area from the Kishanpura side on his Splendor motorcycle (PB 25 J 7453) to deliver the drug to his clients.

The ASI said afterwards, the police laid a naka near a cold storage at Abupura village where the motorcyclist was stopped for checking and the heroin was seized from him.
