Players display skills at annual athletics meet

Rajni and Preeti Gupta in the girls’ U-19 and U-17 categories and Saurabh Gaund and Deepak in the boys’ U-19 and U-17 sections were adjudged the best athletes during the annual athletics meet of SDP Schools, held at the SDP College for Women ground, here on Tuesday.

Students from SDP schools at Hazuri Road, Basti Jodhewal, and those from OP Gupta Model Senior Secondary School, Quilla Mohalla, vied for top honours in various regular events and games.

Dimple Madaan, District Education Officer (Secondary), was the chief guest at the opening function, while Rupinder Singh, SSP, Vigilance Bureau, gave away prizes to the winners.

Members of the school’s management committee, including Manish Bhasin, Gaurav Mittal, Om Parkash Angrish, Arvinder Jain, Dhari Shah Singla, and Parveen Sharma, attended the opening and closing ceremonies. They congratulated the winners and all the principals of the participating schools.
