Malerkotla SSP Gagan Ajit Singh said police officials, supervised by SP (D) Sat Pal Sharma, had nabbed a PO of the Jalandhar region, who had been booked in about 50 cases registered at various police districts and neighbouring states during the past. Most of the cases, including the one registered against Rupam Sharma at the Malerkotla city I police station in 2023, were filed under the Negotiable Instrument Act and he had been absconding in the majority of them.
