Gurjant Singh, a farmer and commission agent of Seehan Daud, had informed the police control room that his grandson Bhavkirat Singh, a Class I student of a Malerkotla school, was kidnapped by two unidentified motorcycle-borne miscreants when he was playing outside his home in the evening.

Amargarh DSP Davinder Singh Sandhu said a manhunt had been launched in coordination with the Khanna district police and separate teams of police personnel were conducting intensive search along drains and link roads, besides highways.
