The School of Business Studies (SBS), Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), organised an insightful seminar on “AI-Driven Digital Marketing for Agribusiness and Management Students”. The session introduced MBA students to the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in shaping digital marketing careers while inspiring them to explore entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship opportunities.

Dr Ramandeep Singh, Director of SBS and principal investigator of the NIDHI Technology Business Incubator (NIDHI-TBI) (DST, GoI) at PAU FEDS, Ludhiana, inaugurated the session while warmly welcoming visitors and providing a brief overview of the session’s agenda.

He introduced the NIDHI-TBI project and highlighted its significant role in supporting and adding value to agripreneurs. Dr Singh motivated students to think innovatively and pursue agribusiness start-ups by integrating technology with agriculture. He encouraged students to share their agribusiness ideas with him, assuring them of institutional support for promotion, commercialisation, and entrepreneurial development. He also reiterated PAU’s commitment to nurturing student-led start-ups and guiding them towards becoming leaders in agribusiness and technology-driven enterprises.

Following his address, Gurinder Singh Gill, CEO, NIDHI-TBI, shared the mission and objectives of the initiative. He offered valuable insights into the entrepreneurial ecosystem fostered by the project and encouraged students to explore opportunities in entrepreneurship.

Sameer Gautam, Business Manager, NIDHI-TBI, presented the various technologies supported under the project and discussed how these innovations could benefit aspiring entrepreneurs.

Komal Chopra Lekhi, Google Non-profit Immersion Advisor and alumna of the School of Business Studies, PAU, delivered the keynote address. Drawing from her global experience in handling clients and training programmes, she explained how students can leverage AI tools to build careers in digital marketing and generate income through innovative practices.

She emphasised her mission of preparing young professionals for AI-enabled careers and supporting business owners through digital transformation.

Malwinder Malhi shared practical insights into e-commerce opportunities in agribusiness and highlighted the importance of cybersecurity. He cautioned students about potential cyber threats in the digital space and stressed on the need to adopt secure practices while pursuing digital entrepreneurship.

Dr Ramandeep Singh acknowledged the contributions of the speakers and presented participation certificates to students.
