Punjab players, including those from Ludhiana city, showcased skill, determination and sportsmanship, fetching medals across several categories in the Delhi Open Pickleball Tournament held, recently.

Sponsored by Jaipreet Singh of VJJS Pickleball Hub, Ludhiana, team comprised Ludhiana’s Sehajpreet Singh and Madhav Sharma, Mohali’s Stuti and Akshat, and Jalandhar’s Yuvraj Bhardwaj.

Stuti bagged gold medals in the girls U-18 singles and doubles sections, Madhav secured the gold in the men’s doubles category, while Punjab champion Sehajpreet Singh won the gold medal in the men’s singles intermediate group, in addition to a gold with Akshat in the men’s doubles. He along with Yuvraj Bhardwaj annexed a silver medal in the men’s doubles category.

Vikramjeet Singh, secretary, Punjab Pickleball Association, congratulated the players on bringing fame to the state. He reaffirmed the association’s commitment to supporting athletes with opportunities, infrastructure and exposure.
