Railway employees hold protest as Ravneet Bittu opens other side of Domoria Bridge in Ludhiana

The Minister of State for Railways, Ravneet Singh Bittu, was in the city today to open the other side of Domoria Bridge for people. While the programme was to be held around 12 noon, but before that over hundred employees of the Railways gathered at the venue to protest against the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Railways, on this occasion.

Though the employees maintained that they had nothing against Bittu, and they had gathered there to protest against the DRM, Ferozepur Sanjay Sahu. The employees said that a female employee was allegedly harassed by a male employee, but instead of taking action against the culprit, the DRM transferred the female employee to Jammu, which was uncalled for. The railway employees raised slogans against the DRM on this occasion. The Northern Railways Men’s Union demanded action against the person who had harassed the female employee.

Meanwhile, Bittu reached the spot and threw the other side of the bridge open to public. On the sidelines, he said that the alert defence forces of India had neutralised the missiles from Pakistan aimed at the Golden Temple. He said that not even a single brick of the temple was damaged by the enemy and the entire credit goes to the defence forces and Prime Minister.

On being asked that MPs were being sent to various countries under the campaign “isolate Pakistan”, he said that an all-party delegation with MPs as heads would visit various countries to tell the truth about Pakistan and its association with terrorism. He said that the MPs were chosen as per their calibre in an unbiased manner.

Highly placed sources in the BJP reveal that Bittu and in charge Punjab BJP had a closed-door meeting to discuss various issues concerning Punjab, particularly about the selection of a suitable candidate for Ludhiana (West) constituency.
