Davinderpal Singh, Station House Officer (SHO), Samrala, lost his life in a road accident. The incident occurred on a road near Amloh where his Toyota Innova vehicle collided with a stationary truck.

According to DSP Tarlochan Singh, SHO Davinderpal Singh had travelled to the Amloh area to investigate a case and was returning to Samrala when the accident occurred around 2 am. Eyewitnesses said the vehicle rammed into a stationary truck, resulting in fatal injuries to the policeman.

The driver of the truck fled the scene, leaving behind his vehicle. Airbags in the front seat of the car had deployed, but unfortunately, the SHO suffered severe head injuries. His vehicle was extensively damaged in the accident.

The DSP said SHO Davinderpal Singh was survived by his wife and two children, including a son who resides in Canada as a permanent resident. The family was awaiting the son’s arrival to perform the last rites, which were expected to take place on Monday.
