  1. The third UJJWAL Karate Championship 2025 was organised at Khalsa College, Amritsar, by Kyorin Shotokan Karate Do Association of Punjab, which is affiliated to the Punjab Olympic Association. Around 750 students from 45 schools of North India took part in the championship. From Sacred Heart Convent School, Bhattian, Ludhiana, the participants — Abhijit and Chirag — won gold and Daud got bronze medals. Rev Sr Lincy Xavier, Director, and Rev Sr Anu, Principal congratulated the winners and trainers.

    November is a good month for Anshreet Kaur Dhaliwal and Gurlal Singh Khangura. Both karate enthusiasts were chosen for participation in the 10th international Open Karate Championship to be held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Earlier, Anshreet and Gurlal bagged bronze medals in the KL Mayor’s Cup 2025. Their performance enthused their schoolmates at Anand Isher Senior Secondary Public School, Chhapar. Many students inspired by their success enrolled in karate classes. K Singh, school Director, rewarded both players with cash prizes and a trophies.

  3. Preplife Convent School

    Students of The Preplife Convent School brought laurels to their institution by winning six medals at the Ludhiana Sahodaya Schools Complex (LSSC) Athletics Meet. In the under-19 boys’ category, Parush emerged as a star performer, winning a gold medal in long jump and a bronze in the 110 metre hurdle race. Vaibhav secured a silver medal in 1,500 metre race, followed by Guneshawar, who bagged a silver in the 100 metre race. Rishi added to the tally with a bronze medal in the 1,500 metre race. In the under-19 girls’ category, Riya earned a bronze medal in the 110 metre hurdle race. The school management organised a felicitation ceremony to honour the young achievers. Dr Minakshi Ahuja, school President, congratulated the winners, while Principal Dr Bharat Dua expressed pride in students’ achievements.

  1. BCM Arya Model Sen Sec School

    BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, once again proved its excellence by clinching the Global Sustainability Award 2025, outshining over 850 participating schools from India and abroad. The prestigious ceremony, held at Miranda House, University of Delhi, was organised by ARC — Complete the Circle of Learning under the leadership of Ritu Malhotra. The two-day event celebrated innovation, environmental leadership and excellence in sustainability education, featuring engaging panel discussions, exhibitions and project showcases that highlighted inspiring green initiatives from across the world. The school earned the coveted title of the Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) Champion in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for its exemplary and sustained commitment to integrating environmental consciousness into education. Representing the institution, Vipra Kale, Environment Manager, shared BCM Arya’s journey of embedding sustainability into its culture and curriculum. The event saw participation from global delegates representing the UAE, Dubai, Nigeria and several other international institutions.

  2. Guru Nanak Public School

    Students of Guru Nanak Public School, Model Town Extension, participated in an inter-school model making competition organised by Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana. The competition provided a platform for students to express their innovative ideas through model making. Competing against 11 teams from various schools across the city, two students, Arashjot Kaur of Class XII A and Jasmine Kaur of Class XI A secured the third prize. Principal Darspreet Kaur said the achievement highlighted the school’s commitment to fostering holistic development and encouraging practical learning experiences among its students.

  1. Green Land Convent School

    A student of Green Land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar, Near Basti Jodhewal, Ludhiana, once again showcased her expertise in the Punjab State Level Karate Tournament. School player Sana Rana, grabbed third position in the 40kg weight category of U-19 girls in the tournament. She was rewarded with a bronze medal. Dr Rajesh Rudhra, school Chairman, congratulated the winner on her achievement and inspired her to keep on performing with the same enthusiasm in the upcoming events. Principal Dr Jyoti Pujara also congratulated Sana Rana for her achievement.

  2. HVM Convent School

    HVM Convent School, Karamsar Colony, New Subhash Nagar, Basti Jodhewal, Ludhiana, organised a one-day excursion for students of Classes I to XII. The students of Classes I to III embarked on sojourn to Zapp, South City, Ludhiana. The tiny tots revelled in an array of indoor adventure games, soft-play arenas and creative workshops. The students of Classes IV to VIII ventured to Wonderland, Jalandhar. The exhilarating rides tested students’ courage, while they basked in the euphoria of the boundless fun. The senior students of Classes IX to XII journeyed to the Fun City Amusement and Water Park, Chandigarh. The students revelled in a plethora of thrilling rides, wave pools and aqua slides that offered both excitement and refreshment.
