The Jagraon police today claimed to have arrested the main sewadar of a gurdwara situated near Akhara Canal on the Jagroan-Raikot road on the charge of raping his follower. The suspect has been identified as Baba Baljinder Singh.

Inspector Amritpal Singh said a rape case was registered on Monday following which accused was arrested by the police.

According to the victim, the Baba Baljinder had been raping the victim on the promise of marrying her.

Amritpal Singh Mehro, an activist of a Sikh organisation, claimed that he has a video in which Baba Baljinder has admitted that he had been raping the woman.

Amritpal said Baba Baljinder Singh asked him to settle the matter for money and he had a video in which he had gone to Baba Baljinder to talk about a settlement with the woman.
