A police team from Jodhpur conducted raids on shops selling fake branded clothes at the Akalgarh market here today and seized huge quantity of garments.

As per reports, the officials also conducted raids at units operating in the Gandhi Nagar market and Mannat Singh Colony where huge stocks of fake branded clothes were seized. The police had arrested a shopkeeper in Jodhpur in this regard who had stated that he got the entire stock from Ludhiana, following which raids were conducted in the city.

Following the raids, panic gripped traders and manufacturers who sell duplicate products in areas of the city.
