In his message, he says: “The Ludhiana CP launched a campaign against drugs and for the rehabilitation of drug addicts so that they can become part of the mainstream society. I wish people who are in the hell of smuggling will leave this trade and people who have become drug addicts will shun the drugs and also encourage others to become good citizens.”

Another singer Gurlez Akhtar in her video message says: “Many youngsters are on the track of drug smuggling and drug addiction. Now the time is ripe when drug addicts should shun drugs and live a prosperous life.”

Another eminent Punjabi singer Ravinder Grewal said: “The campaign launched by the Ludhiana CP against drugs on International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is well-needed to save the youth of Punjab falling prey to the drugs.”
