The complainant, Ashok Jindal, of Industrial Area A, here, told the police that the suspects allured him to start a business with their company. They assured that he would sell their products in Haryana, J&K, Himachal Pradesh, NCR, Uttarakhand, UP and Rajasthan and through this practice, he could earn huge returns. They made him the in-charge of selling their products. Later, the suspects told him to construct a warehouse of 4,000 sq feet for the master depot, with an office of 200 sq ft.

“As we fulfilled their requirements, the suspects took Rs 75 lakh from us as security. Despite taking the entire money, they did not start any company operations and also refused to return the money,” he said.

Investigating officer ASI Jagtar Singh said after registering a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) further investigation was launched in the matter.
