SKM to hold dharna on Sept 2
Ludhiana, August 27
A meeting of Samyukt Kisan Morcha was held today in Ludhiana. It was decided in the meeting to hold a dharna at Chandigarh on September 2 to put forward their demands, the memorandum of which has already been submitted to the state government.
The statement by Kangana Ranaut on farmers was also criticised by the members and they demanded that PM Narendra Modi should seek an apology for the same.
The members also criticised the incident where three farmer leaders were stopped at the airport and their tickets were cancelled.
Members also condemned the Punjab Pollution Control Board for issuing notices to farmers for burning stubble and demanded that such practice should be stopped.
