In a significant recognition of women-led innovation in agri-food entrepreneurship, Nanha Farishta Foods and Fitness LLP, trained by the Punjab Agri-Business Incubator (PABI) at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), has secured Rs 2 lakh grant, under the Start-ups Handholding and Empowerment – Cohort 3.0 (SHE COHORT 3.0), from the Punjab State Council for Science and Technology (PSCST). The grant aims to empower women innovators by providing much-needed financial backing and visibility.

Nanha Farishta Foods and Fitness LLP operates from Bathinda, Punjab, and promotes health-conscious food products under the brand name “Jab Marji”.

Dr MS Bhullar, Director, Extension Education, PAU, said, “Our mission at the PABI is to transform rural innovation into sustainable enterprises. Nanha Farishta’s “Jab Marji” embodies this vision.”

Dr TS Riar, Principal Investigator, PABI, said, “By securing support under SHE 3.0, “Jab Marji” demonstrates the potential of combining agri-food innovation with women leadership.” Dr Poonam Sachdev, Co-Principal Investigator, PABI, said, “The diversity of innovations at PABI —from food processing to health-centric brands — is what makes our incubation ecosystem strong.”
