An unidentified person left a suspicious object at a bag shop in the Basti Jodhewal area on Wednesday evening that led to panic in the area. The shopkeeper raised the alarm and called the police.

Police officials said that some unidentified person came to the shop and left behind a packet. The person told the shopkeeper that he would collect his packet tomorrow and he even paid him Rs 500 for it.

Officials said that the object consisted of a clock that was further connected to a few batteries. It seemed as if some miscreants wished to spread panic in the area, the officials said.
