After hooliganism by youths travelling in a Mahindra Thar vehicle came to light at Mohar Singh Nagar and the CCTV footage of the incident went viral, the Police Division 3 registered a case against four youths, one of them unidentified, on Monday. They tried to kill a man by running him over repeatedly but the victim escaped. Afterwards, people damaged the vehicle. However, the suspects managed to flee the scene in the SUV.

The incident occurred on Sunday when people noticed an overspeeding Thar and told the occupants to drive responsibly. A businessman, Jaswinder Singh, with whom the suspects started arguments, escaped with minor injuries. The victim even told the police that the suspects beat him and his son.

The incident was captured on a CCTV camera. On the complaint of Jaswinder, the case was registered against the suspects, identified as Mani Shiv Kapoor, Vasu Sood, Anmol Aggarwal and one unidentified person, under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The suspects are yet to be arrested.
