A theft occurred at a hosiery factory in the Sunder Nagar area late on Wednesday night. The entire incident of thieves entering the factory premises was caught in CCTV cameras.

Owner of the factory Jagjit Singh said his factory was a few yards away from the Sunder Nagar police station. He has raised suspicion over the involvement of a private security guard of the factory, though the police are investigating the matter. Around six miscreants broke locks of the shutter to enter the factory premises from where they entered its office. The video of the incident was also circulated on social media.

After committing the theft, the thieves fled the scene. The owner of the factory said cash and other items were found missing from the factory. He said a private guard was recently hired in the factory.

The footage of the incident was provided to the Daresi police by the victim.
