DSP Ajay Kumar said the Ludhiana Range had succeeded in breaking supply chains of notorious gangs of drug smugglers during a special campaign launched under the supervision of ANTF AIG Vatsala Gupta earlier this month. Three suspects were arrested under the drive on Wednesday.

“Having received information about illegal activities of the gang, we got a case registered against the three persons at the ANTF police station in Sohana and nabbed them at a naka when they were going to deliver a consignment of heroin weighing 603 gm,” the DSP said.

Claiming that a total quantity of 2.177 kg of heroin was recovered during November, the DSP said two drug peddlers were nabbed with 524 gm and 1.050 kg heroin, respectively, earlier this month.
