Three of thieves’ gang nabbed

The Focal Point police have arrested three members of a gang of thieves and recovered huge quantity of aluminium from their possession.

Karan Singh, against whom three cases are registered, Sarman Kumar, against whom two cases are filed in the past, and Mohammad Bashir, who faces six cases, have been remanded in police custody. The cases against the trio are registered in various police stations of the district.

The suspects stole copper scrap and beaten up a security guard at Shiv Shakti Impex factory, decamped with 40 bags of nut-bolts from a factory near Peepal Chowk and stolen iron rods from a factory on the Macchiwara road in recent incidents.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
