Office-bearers and activists of various social, religious and constitutional bodies condemned the Pahalgam terror attack that led to recent tensions between India and Pakistan, besides paying tributes to the victims of the attack and those martyred during the following conflict.

A two-minute silence was observed to pray for the departed souls, during the concluding session of a peace committee meeting chaired by Assistant Commissioner (G) Gurmit Bansal. Appreciating the gestures shown by leaders in maintaining peace and tranquillity following the attack Bansal urged leaders to continue supporting the administration in maintaining law and order.
