The police have arrested two members of a gang of miscreants who had been involved in burglaries, thefts and snatchings for a long time. Two motorcycles and eight smart-phones were recovered from them. The accused have been identified as Viney Kumar of Ram Nagar, Bhamian Kalan, Ludhiana, and Gaurav Kumar of Ganesh Nagar, Mundian Kalan, Ludhiana.

Commissioner Police Swapan Sharma said that the cops supervised by Jamalpur police station SHO Balwinder Kaur had nabbed the accused from different places at different times and recovered two motorcycles and eight mobile phones from their possession.

The recovered goods had been either stolen or snatched by the accused.

Preliminary investigations by Mundian Kalan chowki in charge revealed that the accused were already facing some cases and Gaurav had been declared a proclaimed offender. Further investigations revealed that the suspects had been committing thefts for buying narcotics.
