Two persons lost their lives in hit-and-run incidents. The Dugri police have registered a case on the basis of a complaint filed by Soni Singh.

As per the complainant, he and his father Kirpal Singh (63) were returning home from Baba Deep Singh Nagar. When they tried to cross a road, a rashly driven car hit his father, who fell on the road and breathed his last. The unidentified car driver fled the scene. The incident occurred on Wednesday.

In the other incident, the Sahnewal police have registered a case against an unidentified car driver who hit Devnath Seth (49) when the latter was going to open his shop at Kanganwal. The complaint was filed by Kamlesh Kumar, the son of the deceased. He said the victim died on the spot while the suspect fled the place.
