Station House Officer (SHO), Focal Point, Inspector Amandeep Singh Brar, said a dispute erupted after a physically challenged tenant was forced to leave the room owing to non-payment of rent to the landlord, Ranjit. After SAD leader Paramjit came to know about the development, he, along with his aides, came in the support of the tenant and had heated arguments with the landlord. Even the landlord and his aides had also challenged the opposite party.

In no time, heated arguments took a ghastly turn when Paramjit and Ranjit opened fire at each other. One of the bullets hit the servant of Paramjit while three persons from the Ranjit’s group suffered bullet injuries. The injured received bullet injuries on their legs and arms only due to which they survived, the SHO said.

Brar said both suspects had used their licensed weapon and fired around five bullets.
