The Crime Branch 2 has arrested two persons under the Gambling Act. Ashok Kumar of Mohalla Amarpura was arrested by the Moti Nagar police and Rs 4,600 in cash, two pens and empty slips were seized from him. Three other cases under the Lottery Act were registered against him.

Rakesh was arrested and a case was registered against him. The third suspect, Gurpreet was absconding.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
