The police are also investigating whether the pistol used in the firing is licensed or illegal. If it is found to be licensed, its licence will be revoked and if the gun is found to be illegal, further investigation would be done why the suspects brought the illegal weapon and from whom they bought the same.

The Station House Officer (SHO) of the Daresi police station inspector Gurmeet Singh said: “After receiving the video of the firing, we alerted our teams. Now, we are investigating the date when the incident occurred. Action will be taken after verification. One youth’s home address has been found. Only after rounding up the youths, the police will get information whether the pistol is licensed or illegal”.

The SHO said they would reach the spot where the incident occurred and question local residents. Help of Safe City cameras are also being taken in the case.
