Friends of a youth reportedly made him consume alcohol in excessive quantity due to which he breathed his last. The Police Division 6 on Thursday registered a case based on the statement of Jaish Ram, father of Monu Kumar (24), the deceased, who was a resident of Ambedkar Nagar, UP.

The suspects were identified as Kanti, Pintu and Vikas.

SHO Kulwant Kaur stated that Jaish Ram said on July 8 that he received a call from the police informing him about his son’s death. On enquiring the matter, the victim’s father learnt that the youths had given him excessive amount of liquor to consume. It also came to light that after his death, his friends abandoned the body near Pratap Chowk and fled the place.
