Vanshika, a talented young athlete from Ludhiana, has made the city proud by winning a gold medal in karate at the 68th National School Games held in Indore.

Vanshika, represented Punjab in the U-19 category and justified her selection by wrapping up top honours. A student of Class XI at Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Vanshika’s gold medal win is a remarkable achievement.

She took part in the Punjab State School Games in 2022 but could not finish at the victory podium, however, last year, she secured silver medal in the National School Games, held in Delhi.

At Indore, Vanshika proved her mettle to clinch gold medal. Her coach Sensei Gourav Sachdeva expressed confidence that she could participate in the international competitions in near future.
