The 13th youth festival of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana, started with the sharing of knowledge and fine arts events. Dr Ajmer Singh Dhatt, Director Research, Punjab Agricultural University, inaugurated the off-stage phase of the festival.

Four events were held today, including photography, quiz, poster-making, and cartooning. The topic of the poster-making event was ‘Age of Social Meida’ . The subject for the photography competition was ‘Fall Colours’; for cartooning, it was ‘Big Fat Wedding’.

Teams from the College of Veterinary Science, Ludhiana; College of Dairy Science and Technology; College of Fisheries; College of Animal Biotechnology; College of Veterinary Science, Rampura Phul (Bathinda); and Veterinary Polytechnic, Kaljharani, along with affiliated colleges of Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar, participated in the events. In photography, Pardeep Kumar of the College of Veterinary Science, Ludhiana, won, followed by Arish Habib of the College of Fisheries and Dhruv Garg of the College of Veterinary Science. The College of Animal Biotechnology came first in the quiz competition; the College of Veterinary Science, Rampura Phul, came second, while the College of Veterinary Science, Ludhiana, came third.
