One Satnam Singh had filed a complaint that LIT junior assistant Harmit Singh was demanding Rs 20,000 for processing and finalising his case of ‘one-time settlement’ of default payment for a booth allotted to him by the LIT at Rajguru Nagar.

Following the complaint, three teams of the Vigilance Bureau were formed. The teams planned a trap and Harmit was caught accepting Rs 10,000.

LIT executive officer Kamaljit Kaur was also arrested for being present there.
