Eyewitnesses reported that the 11-ft-high wall collapsed when the labourers were working. Locals rescued the trapped workers and informed the police. Mohammed Rasool stated that the factory was under construction, with around 10 labourers working at the site.

The injured were taken to a nearby hospital. Onlookers speculated that use of substandard materials caused the tragedy. The police launched a probe into the incident.
