The Samrala police claimed to have arrested two persons and seized 300 gm of heroin, Rs 600 drug money and an iPhone from their possession.

The suspects were identified as Dev Arjun Vaishnaw and Jashanpreet Kaur, both residents of Moga.

Investigating officer ASI Harjinder Singh said a police team had installed a naka on the road where on suspicion, the two suspects were stopped for checking.

During frisking, 300 gm of heroin was seized from them. The suspects were on the way to deliver the drug consignment to their clients.

The ASI said now, the police remand of the suspects would be sought from court so that in further questioning, the entire drug supply line could be busted and big smugglers involved in the racked be nabbed.
