The Jodhan police claims to have nabbed a woman, who has been involved in illegal trade of drug peddling, for a long time. The police recovered 550 grams of ganja and 15 grams of heroin from the accused, identified as Kulvir Kaur, a resident of Narangwal village in Ludhiana district.

The woman was arrested while she was waiting for her customers at her home on Sunday evening. Though the police have yet to ascertain complete criminal record of the woman, preliminary investigation revealed that at least one case under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act was registered against her at the Jodhan police station.

Navneet Singh Bains, Senior Superintendent of Police, Ludhiana (Rural), said a police team led by Dakha Deputy Superintendent of Police Varinder Khosa and Jodhan Station House Officer Hira Singh had initiated a probe to establish forwards and backward links of the accused woman.
