With the authorities working on the surface water supply project, a delegation of the World Bank (WB) officials, on Thursday, held a meeting with the civic body authorities over the functioning of the water utility company, Ludhiana Urban Water and Wastewater Management Limited.

The water utility company has been formed for improving the water supply infrastructure in the city and for implementing the World Bank and AIIB-funded canal-based water supply project.

During the meeting, deliberations were held to fill the vacancies in the water utility company. Discussions were also held regarding the company’s functioning. The WB team was led by Senior Water Specialist Srinivas Podipireddy and Ram Anindo. MC Joint Commissioner Ankur Mahindroo, SE (projects) Parul Goyal, Executive Engineer Ekjot Singh, Superintendent Vivek Verma, etc were present in the meeting.
