The World Punjabi Organisation (WPO), Ludhiana Chapter, hosted a cultural evening and felicitation ceremony under the leadership of Dr Vikramjit Singh Sahney, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and International President of WPO; and Gurmeet Singh Kular, President, WPO, Ludhiana Chapter. The event brought together leading dignitaries, artists and community members to celebrate the essence of Punjab and honour those contributing to its growth and cultural preservation.

Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, Cabinet Minister for Employment Generation and Skill Development Aman Arora, Industries and Commerce Minister Sanjeev Arora and Labour Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond were felicitated for their exemplary public service and contribution to the state’s development. Each of them appreciated the global impact of the WPO and lauded its efforts in promoting Punjabiyat across borders.

Dr Sahney said, “The felicitation of our ministers is not just a token of honour, but a celebration of their commitment to the welfare of Punjab and the Punjabi community. The WPO is a platform that connects Punjabis across the world with the common goal of preserving and promoting Punjab’s rich language, culture and heritage.” Dr Sahney also said that the WPO had always been at the forefront of fostering unity among Punjabis across borders whether through cultural and social initiatives, or through promoting Punjabi language and arts.
