Following the incident, residents said drug trafficking was rampant in the city.

They residents alleged that when the body was found, some stray dogs were eating it. If some residents did not make a video of the same, the police likely to have dismissed the case as a heart attack.

They also accused the administration of not providing an ambulance to transport the body and said the police transported the body to the hospital in a nondescript vehicle. The police have yet to issue a statement on the matter.
