A six-year-old girl was raped by her 19-year-old cousin in Samrala recently. When the girl’s condition worsened and she began bleeding, her family confronted her about the incident. The family immediately informed the police about her deplorable act. Following the complaint the police arrested the accused early this morning.

Station House Officer, Samrala, Harvinder Singh said the accused had come to meet his relative and committed the act. Further investigation is going on.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
